Heartworm and Flea Prevention
Every pet is at risk of getting heartworm disease, a potentially deadly disease. In Missouri, we strongly recommend year round preventative treatment. Most heart worm preventatives also include preventative for other gastrointestinal and parasites. Fleas and ticks are a major problem in Midwest and can result in diseases beyond the recognized skin issues. Fleas can result in tapeworm infestation and ticks can pass on parasites which can cause Lymes disease, platelet disorders and multiple joint disease.
